I have the same issue.
I would add the crash by DrKonqi but when I press the "Suggest this crash is related", nothing happens.

This is a consistent crash. I'm on KDE 5.3.2, frameworks 5.11.0.
Open the Input device settings, go into keyboard->Layouts. Enable "Configure Layouts". Press the variant column and select any variant. Press the preview button and it crashes.

I'm on Gentoo (built from the KDE overlay). My backtraces are (copy-pasted):

Same here, can confirm it on Debian Testing with systemsettings Version 5.3.2, using KDE Frameworks 5.12.0, mostly when selecting e.g. the MacIntosh variant to a  US English layout.  The other bug report (bug #348634) mentions it happens for Russian keyboard layouts.
