Description Udvarias Ur 2015-03-20 14:19:01 UTC
Even though a particular folder is selected, and all others de-selected, before shut down, a random set of folders are selected the next time KAddressBook is started.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
There MUST be several folders in KAddressBook created by right clicking on an address book and selecting 'Add Address Book Folder…'

1. Start KAddressBook.
2. Select 1 folder and de-select all others. (Assuming there is only 1 address book.)
3. Close KAddressBook.
4. Start KAddressBook.
5. Rather then the previously selected folder being selected, a random set of folders are selected.

Actual Results:
Random folders are selected on start up.

Expected Results:
Previously selected folder is the ONLY one selected.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kaddressbook (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Comment 2 Denis Kurz 2017-01-07 22:47:44 UTC
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
