i would like to implement a good backup strategy for my mail accounts without wasting too much disk space. my plan is to have 7 daily, 4 weekly, 12 monthly and unlimited yearly backups of the same folder. this cannot be done with the current automatic archive option (at least in 4.14.2), because it allows only one rule for each folder archive, while i would need four. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. configure daily backups for a mail folder 2. try to configure additional weekly backups for the same folder Actual Results: kmail complains that there can only be one archive at a time. Expected Results: kmail should let me decide how many archives i would like to have, and when and where they are stored. the feature in general is great. i used to do backups with rsync scripts, but this is much more comfortable -- once it does what i outlined here. in the meantime, i will need another bunch of cronjobs and scripts...
Yes indeed for the moment we can't do it. I will look at if it's possible to do it. Regards
upgraded to kmail 5.1.3, i'd still really love to see this feature.
