Description mvowada 2015-03-19 12:11:53 UTC
Now, when I go to set a different display ICC profile in:
(main menu) > "Settings" > "Configure Krita..." > "Color Management" > "Display" > "Screen:"
Krita keeps to set back the default profile "sRGB-elle-V2-srgbtrc.icc".

Please, see also the short video in attachment below.

(Krita: 2.9.1 (git 141b5e7) - Ubuntu 14.04 Unity)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to "Settings" > "Configure Krita..." > "Color Management" > "Display" > "Screen:" and
2. choose an ICC profile other than the default one
3. click "OK" to save your changes

Actual Results:
Krita ignores the display ICC profile that you've choosen from the list, and sets back the default one.

Expected Results:
Krita should save the setting and use the Display ICC profile set by user.

Sorry, I have to partially correct what I said before.

The profile you have set, is actually regularly seen and used by Krita. That's the most important thing.

What is puzzling, though, is that after having set your preferred profile, when then you reopen the window "Configure Krita...", the default profile shown up again, no matter which one the user had set before.

If confirmed, I think this is misleading, because in case you are changing a different option in the same panel, by clicking "OK" you're also going to set back the default profile! that's not what you would expect.

Yes, I can confirm. It's set correctly in kritarc, but shown wrong in the dialog box.

I use Krita from windows, in "color management" I'm trying to set the color profile of my dipslay ... is a .icm profile created with DispcalGUI.
There's no way .... The colors of the images are wrong, no color managed, every time I close Krita profile display returns sRGB-elle-V2-srgbtrc.icc ......

As I said on the forum, what's shown in the dialog is wrong, it's not what's configured. I need to look into that. Please attach your icm file to the bug, too.

monitor profile

This is my monitor .icm color profile.
As I said above, Krita doesn't keep it selected.

I don't understand the answer.
I installed the updated version 2.9.1 for x64 windows but the problem remains.
Comment 9 frenksisco 2015-03-30 23:29:25 UTC
p.s. Same problem with 2.9.0 version in Ubuntu x64

Hi frenksisco,
on Ubuntu 14.04 Unity 64-bit - Krita 2.9.1 all is fine after the fix committed by Boud (the meaning of that automated answer, usually good news for users :)
If you haven't tried yet, there's a newer Windows version, 2.9.1.1, released on 27.03.2015: http://files.kde.org/krita/windows/.
I guess before you need to wipe all your old/previous preferences files (user app folder, I think).

I updated the programs as you suggested: problem solved! Both in windows in linux.
Thank you very much.
Now I do not know why ... in windows, after a day without problems... Krita does not start.
But this is another story I think...
