If while images are being exported in the same window, you click on an image, the progress bar disappears.

Which kind of export tool you use ?

Also 3.5.0 is an old version now. Last one is 4.8.0. Please update

New digiKam 4.11.0 is available with official PKG installer for OSX.

With digiKam 5.0.0, this problem is not reproducible.
I close this file now. Don't hesitate to re-open if necessary.
