Description youngkosoup 2015-03-13 17:09:09 UTC
When I scribble something, the scribbles show up in the layers box but not in the actual canvas. It looks like this
http://imgur.com/AYvuCLw
If I make the layer invisible, the drawing shows up, and when I make the layer visible again, it goes away again.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Krita
2.Make new document
3.Try to draw on canvas

Actual Results:
My drawing only showed up on the layers. The canvas remained completely blank.

Expected Results:
It should have put the drawing on both the layers thumbnail view and the canvas itself.

When I make a new layer, then the drawing updates on to the canvas. Still, there is no way to draw and see what I've drawn.

Thanks for the report! Does it make a difference whether opengl is enabled in settings?
Comment 2 youngkosoup 2015-03-14 01:10:39 UTC
I'm not sure where to enable opengl. I'm not sure if opengl is supposed to be in the manage resource bundles, but in the manage resource bundles window I have no active or inactive bundles. It's all blank.

Nevermind. I found opengl and I un- X'd it. It seems to work normally now except pressure sensitivity is gone now.
Comment 4 Halla Rempt 2015-03-14 15:33:09 UTC
Um... That shouldn't be related at all!
Comment 5 youngkosoup 2015-03-14 16:33:31 UTC
I'm not sure if that's causing it but it looks like this.

Can confirm that the same bug happens to me on the Windows x64 version, and disabling OpenGL fixes it.

Then, if you are using an Intel graphics chip, please do update your graphics drivers: it's most likely the well-known bug in Intel's display drivers, not a bug in Krita itself.
Comment 8 Halla Rempt 2015-05-15 09:02:57 UTC
Oh, and to expand: this bug was entered for OSX -- where the display drivers are all really behind. On Windows you can update the drivers, for OSX, well, I need to find time somehow to dig into OSX issues.

Yeah, you're right.
I updated my Nvidia drivers (have Optimus), but I forgot about the Intel ones.
Work fine now for me.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for getting back to us! I'll close the bug now :-)
