I try to download several videos from the site kissanime.com, i use konqueror and kget to make it simple and quick, but i found an annoying problem, after i set the name of the file and where to download, kget use the filename sent by the server and not the filename i chosen first, in this case "videoplayback" and not nameoftheanime-episode.mp4. In the end i need to go in the transfer settings dialog and rename the file again. Another problem related on this, is the situation if i put more file in queue, first kget keep the name i defined while waiting, but when the download start, it use the server name of the file and leave in the directory an empty file with the name set by me, and in this case kget cannot permit to rename the file with the name until you go in the directory and delete the empty file. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try to download the link i reported with kget 2. Set a name of the file 3. After it start you'll find in kget that the file name is "videoplayback" Expected Results: That Kget use the filename that i decided and not the filename sent by the server and a complete use of the "queue" nature of KGet. The only workaround is to rename the file with the transfer settings dialog and download one file at time.
Created attachment 91464 [details] First dialog of Kget with the right filename In this image you can see that i define a name for the file.

The version of KGet is: Version 2.14.4 Using KDE Development Platform 4.14.4 From fedora repository of the 21 version.
Any news ??
One month without an answer, great! I'm a fan of KDE but this is really piss me off... Is there a mantainer for the KGet software ?!?!?! Is there a mantainer for the bugs here ?!?!?!?! At least may i have the email of the developers, so i can contact them ?
Any news?
Sorry, I don't have time to work on KGet currently. You can take a look to fix it yourself though if you are interested! I'd be happy to help you in this case. Lukas
My skills on c++ isn't so good to make this kind of change. I just take a look on the source and find some possible point where to take a look, but have no idea how to change to make it works. OT: i have also a problem with quanta but here there is no way to fill a bug on quanta or kdewebdev, am i wrong?

Ok i find the way to build it standalone so i can try to fix this problem.
project is referenced here, https://projects.kde.org/projects/kde/kdenetwork/kget which includes a link to it's code repository.
Ichigo, go to Settings -> Configure KGet -> Plugins and disable the Multisegment KIO then try again.
Ohhh yes, it works! So the problem is between kget and the plugin for multidownload. Thanks David.
