Network manager applet gets very crowded and messy with multiple VPN's, LAN networks, and WiFi networks configured. I think it needs to be more like the KDE menu system with favorites, applications, computer, and leave, except it would instead have Wired, Wireless, VPN, etc. It should also have a filter bar which works across all network types. When I want to connec to my Home VPN, I should be able to click the plasmoid and type "home" and have it show only (and all) connections with "home" in the name or description. It should probably either open to, or always show, the summary portion for active connections, and home to available wireless connections. Reproducible: Always
I believe that this could be useful sometimes, but there is so much little space in the applet that adding even a search bar would be wasting of space. I'm sorry, but I don't think we are going to implement this any time soon.
