Description Soukyuu 2015-03-01 23:55:40 UTC
Both the local and remote cursors flicker (appears and disappears very fast). Best seen when moving the cursor, but also happens less frequently when not moving the mouse at all.

Connection is set to High Quality, but it also happens on other presets.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start a VNC session
2. move cursor over the VNC window
3. enable local cursor, repeat 2.

Actual Results:
cursor appears and disappears rapidly

Expected Results:
cursor should stay visible at all times

Connecting with TigerVNC doesn't trigger the issue. I have also noticed that for example the yakuake animation as well as scrolling etc, is rather low on fps remotely. As if hardware acceleration was not working. Nothing of the like with TigerVNC.

Both clients are on arch linux x64, both running KDE4. I'm using the nvidia binary driver (nvidia-340xx 340.76-2, 260GTX card). The PCs are located on a gigabit network, so there should be plenty of bandwidth available.

I've just tested this and I'm unable to reproduce the issue.

Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved. I've set the bug status to "needsinfo" pending your response, please change back to "reported" or "resolved" when you respond, thanks.

I don't have a VNC instance to test with anymore, sorry. If it works for you, then we might as well close the issue.
