I opened directly in Okular (0.20.2 on Debian Jessie) and I can see the graph. When you select Help->About Backend, what do you see? Does Okular use the PS Backend?

Just to be clear: do you mean that the file is visible when embedded in a DVI file even in Okular?
Comment 3 Mark van Rossum 2015-02-27 21:41:31 UTC
Help ->About Backend reports:

PS Backend
Version 0.1.7
Using KDE Development Platform 4.14.4

Help-> About Okular reports
Okular
Version 0.21.1
Using KDE Development Platform 4.14.4

Yes, it is visible with okular when embedded in a dvi file.

Fails here under the spectre backend (PS) works if i use the kimgio backend (though of course it's a bit pixellated)

Max which libspectre do you have installed?
Comment 5 Mark van Rossum 2015-02-27 23:30:43 UTC
I have
libspectre-0.2.7-5.fc21.x86_64
Comment 6 david.holec@unileoben.ac.at 2015-03-02 10:31:26 UTC
I have the same problem. I am using openSUSE 13.2, okular 0.21.1, ans PS backend 0.1.7.

Albert, does comment #5 provide the requested information?
Comment 8 Albert Astals Cid 2015-03-16 20:52:21 UTC
I'll leave this to Luigi
Comment 9 Albert Astals Cid 2015-03-16 20:55:15 UTC
Or actually, Luigi which libspectre and gs do you have?
Comment 10 Luigi Toscano 2015-03-16 21:13:40 UTC
Current Debian testing/Jessie:
ghostscript: 9.06~dfsg-2
libspectre1: 0.2.7-3
(for the record, also:
libqt4: 4:4.8.6+git64-g5dc8b2b+dfsg-3
okular 4:4.14.2-2)
Comment 11 Andrew Crouthamel 2018-11-18 02:25:02 UTC
The provided EPS file opens and renders properly for me, with Okular 1.5.3, PS backend 0.1.7, and libspectre1 0.2.8.
