Description Jaime Alberto Silva 2015-02-22 23:21:22 UTC
GIT integration is not working on submodules, when I right click in the project tool view on a file in main repository I can see all GIT functions but if I do it on a git submodule file GIT options are not shown.

I have been using Kubuntu 14.10 for a few months, I was using Debian Sid (unstable) before this and it was working on that distro, GIT commands were run against the submodule, commit was performed on sub-repo and push/pull was performed against the submodule remote.

I'm also currently using Kdevelop exclusively for PHP development (in case is worth noting).

I'm using Kubuntu PPA: deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/ppa/ubuntu utopic main

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable Kdevelop's GIT support plugin.
2. Load a GIT repository with GIT submodules.
3. Right click on a folder or file on main repository and GIT options are offered.
4. Right click on a submodule folder or file and notice GIT options are not offered.

Actual Results:
GIT options are not offered for GIT submodules folders or files.

Expected Results:
GIT options offered for GIT submodules folders and files, operation selected performed against GIT submodule (sub-repository or embedded repository).

It works fine on Debian unstable (sid).
