Probably after revision 1aaba92f, Krita's splash is not centered after starting up once under another screen with different resolution and switch back to the old one. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. I normally use Krita on a laptop, connects to a 1920x1080 display 2. Today I drew directly on the laptop's screen (1366x768) on the move 3. Then I get back to the 1920x1080 display Actual Results: Krita's splash is not centered when I get back to 1920x1080. I will attach a screenshot below.
Created attachment 91196 [details] Krita splash not centered
Also, because now after I clicked the icon of Krita the splash doesn't show up immediately, I don't know whether Krita has been started or not. This can be confusing.
Hm... On Gnome, I had to disable showing the splash until the main window is shown because on the majority of gnome systems, the splash would be shown as a black square! In git master, there's a checkbox in the settings dialog to get the splash back.
In the recent version of Krita the splash is removed and a new welcome screen is shown in the empty area when you start Krita here is the commit -> https://cgit.kde.org/krita.git/commit/?id=2325bd70e41e0a17ae727df877a2b9e8e1765a87 Here is the discussion for the design which was merged in master -> https://phabricator.kde.org/D13861 So I think This bug can be closed. If there is any problem with the new design i think we can open a new bug report for it . Thank you
Misunderstood the bug sorry reopened now.
This bug is probably obsolete by now. But if it isn't, I suppose https://phabricator.kde.org/R37:8f022ec33007 would've fixed it.
Thank you! I have no way to test its current state because all my screens are now 1920x1080...so I have to trust your observation! ^^;
