Created attachment 91188 [details] [^ screenshot : aliasing issue ] Hi, This bug affect text written with the multiline text tool To reproduce : 1. Select the text tool ( 'T' icon in toolbar ) 2. In the tool-option docker, change the mode for 'Multiline' 3. Create a text box on the canvas ( click and drag ) 4. Type a small text in your text box 5. Highlight/select the text 6. In the tool-option docker, change the color of text for a bright one ( white on screenshot ) Result : The pixels around the fonts are dark. Every colored font exept black or dark grey text render oorly.
Hello David! I remember I have seen this problem some time ago. I've just re-checked with the latest 2.9.5 (Ubuntu 14.04) and I don't see anymore those dark pixels around the text, in my case.

Thanks David, you're right. Curiously, I can reproduce only with font sizes less than 46 (any kind of font). Is it the same also for you?

Oh, nicely found. Here It took me a little time to find the value where the bug occur : It happens here with font sizes "less than or equal" to 61. At 62, the aliasing solve mysteriously.

I've appended "under a certain font size" to the title :-) Please, feel free to change it back if you think it's out of place.
