Description unsuspicious.fakename+kdebugs 2015-02-16 19:55:11 UTC
Typedef/scope operator in c++ header leads to line break after every other word. Also seems to happen in some cases where there are scope operators.

Usually, this only inserts a lot of line breaks, but in addition to that, in several headers (all of which were affected by this problem but not always the other way around) it also deleted random / unknown parts of the code in the header on several occasions. Did not manage to reproduce this second part reliably (though it happened by accident again, later), because the exact code that triggered that part of the bug got lost / rewritten when I acidentally reformatted all the files in the project at once via context menu entry.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
typedef w::yummy<banana,  apple<red>> stuff;

class words {
void why (meh);
void foo (baaa);
};

Actual Results:
typedef
  w::yummy <
  banana,
  apple <
  red >>
  stuff;

class
  words
{
  void
  why (meh);
  void
  foo (baaa);
};

Expected Results:
neatly formatted code

Have not been able to reproduce this with standalone astyle 2.05.1,
but it happens in kdevelop 4.7.1 with "artistic style" set to the default "linux" (also various others, if not all).

Marking this above "normal" severaty since code reformatting probably really should not be able to eat any printable characters... under any circumstances... ever... at all.
