In Choqok 1.5, the image preview is always on, and cannot be disabled. In choqokrc: choqok_imagepreviewEnabled=false Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. disable Preview Images plugin 2. delete choqok-userimages.kcache 3. restart choqok Actual Results: Image previews remain. Expected Results: Image thumbnails should no longer be displayed.
I can confirm this on latest openSUSE Tumbleweed.
The problem is not that you cannot disable the ImagePreview plugin (which you can disable), but that images "attached" to tweets/posts are always shown and there's no option to disable them. Are them something we can filter off?
There's no feature currently to disable previews! so this isn't a bug. The image preview plugin is working separately from Twitter's image preview. i.e. you can disable the image preview plugin and it will no longer try to provide previews for images posted to other hosts (like twitpic) but it will not stop photos posted to twitter itself to show up in tweets since, those are coming from difference source and twitter plugin itself is providing them. Thus, you are right that previews are always on. Changing this to a feature request.
Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved.
Images attached to the tweets are still visible even when ImagePreview plugin is disabled. Tested on openSUSE Tumbleweed: > rpm -q choqok choqok-1.7.0-2.6.x86_64
