i'm on plasma5 with apps 14.12. after start, when i open dolphin and click on a txt file, nothing happens. via command "kde-open PATHTOFILE" i cant start anything. now there are 2 ways to fix that for me: killall kdeinit4 or kdeinit4 on the terminal (with the same result, that kdeinit4 will be restarted) i can use "kde-open5 PATHTOFILE" from the very beginning, it works like it should Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. restart 2. open dolphin, click on any txt file or image Actual Results: nothing happens, or sometimes a "kdeinit cant find 'PATH TO APP'" Expected Results: it should just work i already reported it to dolphin: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=344004 but i think its a general bug of kde4 apps in plasma5 Plasma5 :5.2 Framework5: 5.6 Qt: 5.3.2 Qt: 4.8.6 KDE: 4.14.2 systemd 218 +PAM +AUDIT +SELINUX +IMA +APPARMOR +SMACK +SYSVINIT +UTMP +LIBCRYPTSETUP +GCRYPT -GNUTLS +ACL +XZ -LZ4 -SECCOMP +BLKID -ELFUTILS +KMOD -IDN
