Description Anthony 2015-02-08 21:22:54 UTC
I have an issue with a second screensaver running on my system. The Screen Locker is fine however i don't need my screen going blank every 5 or 10 minutes as I have a media center. I haven't seen the screen go black when playing any form of media however this is still annoying. I have the Screen Locker set for 102 minutes of inactivity for a reason. Yet the screen won't follow that rule or use the set screensaver, ever. The only time it works is if I put the system in standby. What gives?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Don't use system for 5 to 10 minutes
2.Set screen locker using any settings (won't run user set rules)
3.Don't play any form of media. Will actually disable the screensaver

Actual Results:
System won't follow user's set rules.

Expected Results:
The screensaver running when and how is set to run.

An HDTV 32" non 3D or 4K @ 16:9 ratio via HDMI ports and cabling. Screen display is set @ 1280 x 720.

Are you using Plasma 5 or KDE 4?
Comment 2 Anthony 2015-02-09 14:57:43 UTC
I don't think so.
Comment 3 Anthony 2015-02-09 14:59:07 UTC
The TV is LCD.

Good one :) If you never heard of Plasma 5.x, then you are using KDE 4.x, which is the default in Kubuntu.

This bug is reported on libsolid which is the kdelibs4 version of the solid library. It is now in maintenance mode. If you think it should still be fixed in the KDE Frameworks 5 version of solid please move it to or report a bug on frameworks-solid or Powerdevil.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Please try again with the latest version and submit a new bug to frameworks-solid if your issue persists. Thank you!
