My laptop is docked, and two DVI cables are plugged into the dock. Each cable goes to a separate monitor. KDE is seeing this as a single large display. There also seems to be issues related to booting and the login screen. The displays don't always activate during the encryption password prompt or the login screen. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot the computer. 2. Login without seeing anything. 3. Open Display Configuration and try to configure the monitors separately. Actual Results: Shown as one large display. Expected Results: Two separate inputs that are configurable. $ lspci 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Haswell-ULT DRAM Controller (rev 0b) 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Haswell-ULT Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 0b) 00:03.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation Haswell-ULT HD Audio Controller (rev 0b) 00:14.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation 8 Series USB xHCI HC (rev 04) 00:16.0 Communication controller: Intel Corporation 8 Series HECI #0 (rev 04) 00:19.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection I218-LM (rev 04) 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 8 Series HD Audio Controller (rev 04) 00:1c.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 8 Series PCI Express Root Port 1 (rev e4) 00:1c.3 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 8 Series PCI Express Root Port 4 (rev e4) 00:1c.4 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 8 Series PCI Express Root Port 5 (rev e4) 00:1d.0 USB controller: Intel Corporation 8 Series USB EHCI #1 (rev 04) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corporation 8 Series LPC Controller (rev 04) 00:1f.2 RAID bus controller: Intel Corporation 82801 Mobile SATA Controller [RAID mode] (rev 04) 00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation 8 Series SMBus Controller (rev 04) 02:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Wireless 7260 (rev 73) 03:00.0 SD Host controller: O2 Micro, Inc. For some unknown reason, the DP1 output claims it can have 3360x1050 resolution, which sounds bogus to me - I would blame the drivers in this case. However it looks like we pick it over the preferred one (1680x1050) just because it's bigger, which is indeed KScreen fault.
Thank you for the bug report. Unfortunately we were not able to get to it yet. Can we ask you to please see if you can reproduce the issue with Plasma 5.25 or 5.26? If you can, please change the status to CONFIRMED when replying. Thanks a lot!
I no longer have the hardware in question, and I've since moved to Pop OS so I don't have the setup to attempt to reproduce the problem. Not sure what we should do now, maybe just close it out?
Yeah. Thanks anyway!
