Description Jürgen Scholz 2015-01-30 19:39:57 UTC
It is not possible to connect to a x11vnc server using bandwidth optimized settings with krdc. krdc probably tries to use a protocol extension that x11vnc does not support.

Tested with krdc 4.12.2 from (k)ubuntu vivid and x11vnc 0.9.13 from kubuntu 14.04.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start x11vnc with this command: x11vnc -v -norc -bg -shared -nolookup -env FD_XDM=1 -auth guess -display WAIT:0 -rfbauth /etc/x11vnc.pwd -allow 10.0.0.,10.10.0.,127. -avahi -env X11VNC_AVAHI_NAME=`hostname` -autoport 5900 -desktop "`hostname` VNC" -forever -repeat -reopen -o /var/log/x11vnc.log 2>/dev/null 1>&2
2. Try to connect with krdc using the "Connection Type: Low Quality" option.

Actual Results:
3. krdc can not connect.

Expected Results:
3. krdc can connect and shows low quality connection optimized for low bandwith connections

Vinagre can connect to the server using "Low Quality (8bit)" and "Ultra low quality (3bit)" options.
