Description supaiku 2015-01-28 07:46:08 UTC
Use the Breeze Dark color theme and fire up systemmonitor and open the detail view for a process -> black font on dark background. Even the font looks really weird and doesn't seem to match the rest of the system (Oxygen Font).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
See details.

Could you attach a screenshot illustrating the problem? That would make it way easier to triage and fix.

Thanks, for the additional information. I've attached the correct meta information to the bug so it's easier to track for us.

The problem is that the HTML generated for the report doesn't set the right background color. We could make use of Plasma::Theme::styleSheet() for this.

No we can't, we're in an application. We can't mix and match style info.

Well, in this case we can because there won't be any clashes because it's a separate view.

Probably easier though is to just set the background of the HTML code that gets inserted there.

I also use Breeze Dark and this week I had to use the system monitor detailed view many times.

I decided to check what could be done to make that view more readable. As a workaround, I modified scripts/smaps/style.css, adding an entry to set the html body background color to #FCFCFC (the bg color when using Breeze), so the background color doesn't depend on the color scheme in use.

styles.css has many fixed color definitions (texts, links, TOC bg), so IMPOV setting a color for the body bg guarantees that all those colors work well together. Of course, to make this view adaptable to other color schemes, more changes are required, indeed.
