KRDC Version 4.14.1 Using KDE Development Platform 4.14.1 on local system I have set czech qwertz keyboard layout, remote windows 2012 server recieves input with as with r_alt key pressed which is not. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. have czech qwertz keyboard, open connection to a remote machine 2. open a text editor or shell and start typing 3. get the junk text Actual Results: [&}[] Expected Results: ifconfig there is no way arround it, if r_alt is pressed additional modfications are received. this renders vnc unusable
Created attachment 90693 [details] part of screenshot from the 'PowerShell' first line of characters is without r_alt pressed the second line is with r_alt pressed
Can you reproduce this issue also when entering text in other tools on the remote server? Could you try another keyboard layout? Could you try to connect to another VNC server and check if you can reproduce this issue? Since you are using a windows server, you could also try to connect with RDP (just as a workaround).

i opened this bug more than 5 years ago and don't have to use this application anymore (and this experience didn't exactly convince me to bother further) so you can close it if you feel like the info i gave you isn't sufficient... i found another way to test some weirdness in krdc by connecting to a second kde session via krfb session where i set US keyboard while having CZ keyboard on krdc, then i pressed top line of keys (which are in US keyboard as follows: `1234567890-= in CZ they are as: ;+ěščřýžýáíé=´) i get this: +23456ýáíé= (´ doesn't work via krdc/krfb)
