Partition sizes numbers are displayed in Arabic-Indic numbers. During Kubuntu installation, I set my country to an Arabic one. I don't remember, if numbers were set Arabic-Indic in Systen Setting -> Locale, but I think Country was the USA. I made sure numbers, money and date & time are set to Arabic (0123456789), after changing Country to mine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set the country to an Arabic country, while installing Kubuntu. Actual Results: The partition sizes appear in Arabic-Indic numbers. Expected Results: The partition sizes appear in Arabic numbers. The same happens as shown in screenshot2.png. Distribution: 64-bit Kubuntu 14.1.

Can you please check your settings in System Settings > Locale > Numbers?
The issue is probably that in some places, KDE settings are not respected, because pure Qt locale functions are used. I suggest to ask in a forum of your distribution how to change environment variables that Qt reads for the locale functions (and how to make those permanent).
Digit set is Arabic (0123456789). OK. I'll do it.
I found that the reason is that I chose an Arabic country, while I was installing Kubuntu. It's repeatable. I tried it. Install Kubuntu with an Arabic country chosen then you won't be able to change your numbers configuration from Arabic-Indic numbers.
This is not really a Dolphin issue. The strings for the devices in the Places Panel come from Solid, and the time in the Date&Time dialog from somewhere else in kdelibs. I don't really know where to reassign this report though.
This bugs is always reproducible in Kubuntu. I hope someone confirms it.
If it is only reproducible in Kubuntu, it could also be related to the environment variables that are set from the Locale KCM with distribution-specific patches.
Ali, have you asked in a Kubuntu forum about this issue, as suggested by Christoph (comment 5)?
Has this issue since been resolved by the distribution maintainers? If yes, I'll close this bug soon.
I am going to close this bug as this should have been fixed by the distro maintainers & no new activity for this bug. Please reopen the report if this behavior still exists with newer versions of Dolphin/your distro. Thanks!
