I've reported this bug in Debian https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=774377 but it appears that it is a general KDE bug, not Debian one. So I report it again here. When the mouse is above the current file, this filename is displayed white on white background and so is invisible. See the first file (after the folder auth/) in the screenshot. It is a white spot. Which widget style and color palette are you using? See System Settings > Application Appearance > Style/Colors. Is this issue still reproducible when changing them?
widget style: GTK+ Style color palette: Default changing them does not help.
This is a known GTK bug (you can see it with tooltips in GIMP, too). I'm afraid there isn't anything we can do about it. I would recommend using a different widget theme. Breeze is very nice! :)
