Start with a new user (= new KDE profile) and enable the standard settings for personal contacts and calendar.
Create some entries in the contacts and add birthday and such to calendar.
Save entry
Check calendar: Birthdays etc are not visible in calendar.
And I have no idea how to get them in

Do you add "Birthday & anniversary" calendar in korganizer ?:)

Of course not ..... was not aware.
Maybe a check on a birthday or anniversary entered would help avoiding this. (If you want to see it in calendar, add .... ). Of course only reminding one time.

Add a new entry in "kdepim-runtime/defaultsetup" ?

Now at first run we create birthday calendar directly
