Upon running program I am met with the message:

"Essential application components could not be found.
This might be an installation issue.
Try restarting, running kbuildsycoca4.exe or reinstalling."

I followed the required steps and reinstalled multiple times without getting a different result.


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install program
2. Attempt to run
3.

Actual Results:  
Received error message 

"Essential application components could not be found.
This might be an installation issue.
Try restarting, running kbuildsycoca4.exe or reinstalling."

Expected Results:  
The software should have started.

Hi,

I guess that something in your windows installation prevents the installer from working correctly. Could you check the latest beta release and see whether that works better for you? http://files.kde.org/krita/windows/

2.9 doesn't need kbuildsycoca anymore, please use the latest beta from http://files.kde.org/krita/windows.

The developers did not find a way to reproduce the bug, so it was marked as RESOLVED/WORKSFORME. If you still encounter this bug, please add your comment and reopen the report by setting it to REOPENED state.
