Description Evan Leibovitch 2015-01-18 21:19:11 UTC
Kubuntu 15.04 Alpha
Screen Energy Saeving setting doesn't do anything.

Radeon card, two screens.

Unsure if this is a dupe of #328573, but that one is years old.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. System setting -> Power Management
2. Set "screen energy saving" and set a time

Actual Results:
Nothing

Expected Results:
Screen(s) off after the time set

There is also no way to set a screensaver, even as a blank screen

Can you verify whether running the command
xset -display :0 dpms force off
turns off the screen (don't worry, it will turn on when you move the mouse)?
If it does not work, this is a driver issue.

I was having a similar problem after upgrading to Kubuntu 15.04. I finally solved it today by removing ~/.kde/share/config/powermanagementprofilesrc, logging out, and logging back in.

Nevermind, my problem persists :(
Comment 4 Nate Graham 2020-07-22 14:09:11 UTC
Is this reproducible with a more recent version of Plasma or Kubuntu?
