I customized the colors so I chose black for background and white for font. it works well in channels but in private messages, the font is black while the background remains black. 


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. choose the background as black and the font as white in preferences->colors
2. let someone send you a private message 

Actual Results:  
black font on black background

Expected Results:  
white font on black background

The "Channel message" colour doesn't affect "private" messages, which are called "Query messages" when referring to IRC.

I've tested and confirmed that the Query message color is properly applied to private messages. Note that bug 145602 does prevent text that is already in the window from changing color.
