Description Geoff 2015-01-14 03:33:56 UTC
KWallett still presents that annoying bug as far as getting it to open under the users login password .... well, if taken from a 'cold boot' that is ... by just logging out and back in again it actually works, as one would expect it to work from cold booting! I suppose that is because 'kdewallett' has already been authorised manually once, and probably stays in that open state .. unsure??

However, found this

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=762402

and installed 'ligthdm package' (be sure to config as MDM) in an attempt to solve this annoying bug ... did the edits to lightdm_autologin as suggested by that link .. but still no joy, even if the New Features page states otherwise:

http://www.linuxmint.com/rel_rebecca_kde_whatsnew.php

KWallet Integration
Support was added in MDM and in the session for the KDE wallet to be fully integrated with Linux Mint.

Although a Wallet Manager is present for configuration purpose, no interaction is needed for the KDE wallet to work.

The wallet is created automatically with your first login, and it opens automatically in the background with every new session.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Turn on KWallett
2. Config KMail with an imap account
3. Reboot from cold

Actual Results:
Following system login from a cold boot the user should not have to enter their password again to load the wallett.
