- What I was doing when the application crashed: 
Just did a system restart. Was logging in for the first time and when the desktop was loading, plasma crashed and restarted itself.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Thanks for the reports.

At this point however, it looks like there won't be any more kpeople4 releases because we severely lack manpower to do that. Help is welcome.

The good news is that this problem no longer (should not) exist in plasma5 and kpeople5. So I'd probably just advise to update as soon as possible.
