videos recorded with mobile phones are often portrait and not landscape mode Reproducible: Always Actual Results: video is displayed not in portrait Expected Results: video should be converted once and displayed in portrait mode conversion ffmpeg -i in.mp4 -vf "transpose=1" out1.mp4 or other tools ?
I'm not sure this makes sense. If you rotate a video taken in portrait mode, you wind up a landscape video that's rotated 90 degrees, and you have to cock your head to see what's going on. It can't turn a portrait video into a real landscape one.
well the command mentioned just does it whilst you can turn the mobile (sometimes not - becaus the screen rotates with the mobile) you can not rotate the laptop IMO it's just adding such a command to the right mouse menue
