Description Thomas Eschenbacher 2015-01-08 17:01:34 UTC
When loading a file into lokalize the entries in the list are always sorted by entry number, whereas the column of the table of entries indicates sorting by the text.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start lokalize
2. load a po file (or optionally: pass the name of a po file per cmdline in 1.)
3. look at the list of "Translation Units"
4. look at the arrow that indicates the sorting and at the sort order of the entries!

Actual Results:
There is an "arrow up" at the column header of the column "Source" - which gives the impression that the content is sorted by "Source". But that is not the case, the entries are sorted by "Entry" (left column, with the number).

Now click on the header of the column "Source" -> then the list correctly gets sorted by "Source", in descending order. Click on it again -> now it is sorted in ascending order.

(if you open a second file, the behaviour will be the same again)

Expected Results:
The sort order should be saved / restored across calls to the programm and properly be applied at start of the program.

are you sure you have tried lokalize KF5 revision after Fri Dec 26?
i had some changes in that field
Comment 2 Thomas Eschenbacher 2015-01-14 16:59:07 UTC
the package I installed is "kde-base/lokalize-4.14.3" (Gentoo Linux),
and when starting lokalize, the Help/About dialog tells me something about "Version 1.5"
or via console:

> lokalize --version
Qt: 4.8.6
KDE: 4.14.3
Lokalize: 1.5

Thomas, have you had a chance to test this again with a newer version of Lokalize? I cannot reproduce the issue either in Lokalize 19.11.70.
