Description alain@zwingelstein.org 2014-12-30 20:04:16 UTC
Hello,

I am desperately trying to discover what is wrong with the indi_lx200basic driver.

I can connect to the mount and see the telescope cross moving when I use the pad.
But it is not possible to sync, slew or track using the right click.
Sync, slew and track are set in indi but no values seem to be sent to indi.
Also no command is issued to the telescope (checked using /dev/ttyUSB0 sniffer etither via linus slsniff or hardware sniffer)
installed version is:
ii kstars 4:4.14.1-0ubuntu amd64 desktop planetarium for KDE
ii libindi-data 0.9.9+r642.169~ubuntu14.10.1
ii libindi0:amd64 0.9.9+r642.169~ubuntu14.10.1
ii libindi0d:amd64 0.9.8.1-0ubuntu7
ii indi-bin 0.9.9+r642.169~ubuntu14.10.1
Kubuntu version is 14.10
The same behaviour is observed using the Ekos Virtual image.
What is sure is that the mount is working fine with other software (C2A, SkyChart, Ascom ...)
The previous versions of Kstars did work fine.

It is really annoying bexause all the rest isa wonderfull piece of work :-(

Regards

This was a bug in the upstream INDI and was fixed in INDI SVN. You can use latest libindi from my PPA:

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:mutlaqja/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libindi0

Or you can build latest INDI from source if you prefer:

Thank you very much Jasem.

It works great.

Happy new year to you.
