In the Breeze sddm theme, the session combobox's text colour is white. I'm talking about the "main" text, not the drop down list. It's white on light grey, making it barely visible.
I think the problem was introduced when I upgraded to Qt 5.4.
I use a dark color scheme (whith white text) in my user session, so I tried to change that, but it didn't help (it wouldn't have make sense anyway).

Thanks, it was a bug in the combo box that I fixed last week.
