Description Alexander Nestorov 2014-12-22 01:23:30 UTC
In my desktop machine I have 2 audio outputs. The HDMI output (graphics card, which is connected to my screen, to which I connect a 2.1 speakers) and the Frontal output, which is the built in sound card and to which I connect to headset.

When I click the systray icon of KMix, I see only the HDMI output, but then if I go to the "Mixer" window of KMix, I see both outputs.

The same goes the other way around (for audio input devices). I have my headset and a webcam (USB) and they both are audio input devices, but KMix shows only the built in soundcard input device.

Reproducible: Always

Alexander: please check the System Settings -> Multimedia -> Audio and Videao Settings -> Audio Hardware Setup, that is where you choose the output and input profiles, not in KMix.

And to pcchou: well spotted, thank you :)

This bug is in no way related to bug 257551. That one is specifically about the monitor sources, which are simply ignored by "Audio Hardware Setup" and Kmix.
