When you launch an application, an entry is supposed to be created in "Recently Used" tab. However this is not the case if you use anything else, to launch the application, than the search functionality in kickoff, e.g. launching from "Applications" or "Favourites" tabs doesn't do anything. Reproducible: Didn't try Expected Results: They should create an icon to the desktop or if this isn't supposed to happen then, dragging should be disabled.

Confirmed. Launching from "Favorites" does not affect the "Recent Applications". In fact it seems slightly strange, non kde apps aren't always added in the list unless they are run twice.
I can confirm this also. Searching from Kickoff then launching adds a recent applicaions entry, but launching from the Favorites or Applications tabs does not.
