Description Vincent Petry 2014-12-21 18:00:32 UTC
powerdevil5-5.0.2-2.1.x86_64
openSUSE Factory

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the power applet
2. Click on the left or on the right of the slider cursor for brightness
3. Try dragging the slider cursor

Actual Results:
When clicking, the cursor does NOT move.
When dragging, the cursor moves.

Expected Results:
Clicking on the slider bar must move the cursor.

It could be an issue with the slider widget itself used in the applet popup.

Note that if you right click on the power icon and go to "Energy Saving" then change the brightness level there, the slider works for both clicking or dragging.

So it could be something specific to the applet / QML / plasmoid ?

That is a bug in the QtQuick Controls Slider which the Plasma Slider was migrated to recently.
Re-assigning to plasma framework for further investigation.

Strange thing, I tried it again today and now it works.
I updated my system recently (openSUSE Factory) and now have the following versions:

libqt5-qtquickcontrols-5.4.0-1.1.x86_64
plasma5-session-5.1.2-9.1.noarch
powerdevil5-5.0.2-13.7.x86_64 (unchanged)

Not sure what version of qtquickcontrols I had before.

I guess this ticket can be closed, unless you want to confirm the fix yourself first.
