I want to sort some pictures into directory by date. I use Gwenview for previewing those and I have the preview area opened. But in the preview area Gwenview does not display filename and date, even if configured to do so under preview image details sub menu, cause this menu is only for preview mode. Since preview mode has to small thumbnails for ThinkPad T520 15 inch Full HD display (256x256 max, see bug #342051 zoom slider in preview only goes up to 256x256 pixels), I switch between to source tab in Dolphin to look at the date. Hmmm, maybe I can do it all in dolphin, image preview mode. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Have preview mode enabled Actual Results: No way to have filename or date under preview images in preview mode. Expected Results: Option to have filename and date under preview images in preview mode. Using Gwenview vom KDE Applications 4.14.2. Maybe it can be done with Dolphin just nice. But maybe there similar thumbnail size limit.
Do you mean the information displayed in the "Meta Information" section of the Information panel?
Nate, I have no idea on how to enable preview mode in Gwenview 16.08.3 as packaged by Debian Qt/KDE team (17.08 packages coming soon, I hope) in order to check what my bug report is about. It has been almost three years ago. I am setting to resolved/worksforme as I don´t even have an idea right now how to reproduce what my bug was about.
Yeah, I don't even know if there is a "preview mode" in modern versions of Gwenview.
