Description Shalin Shah 2014-12-19 03:15:06 UTC
When none GRADIENT scheme is selected, on hovering over legends of the periodic table the elements of that group fade out instead of other elements who have to fade out.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Kalzium
2. Hover over legends
3.

Actual Results:
The elements of that group, on which mouse is hovered, are faded out instead of being highlighted.

Expected Results:
The elements of that group, on which mouse is hovered, should remain same and all other elements should fade out.

Comment from GCI student:
I use Kubuntu 14.10, Kalzium 2.4.02 I have the same problem.

Indeed, reproducible here, using version 2.4.02

I am working on this bug and I think I've fixed it. Anyways, I just wanted to confirm that this kind of behaviour was not intended and is, actually, a bug.

Well, the idea was to "select" the elements and highlight them. I can see why the current implementation is confusing.
One solution would be to change the style of the highlighted elements to make them more "highlightisch".
Or invert just the selection. But i think this would make the gradients look weird.
Anyway, it would be nice to improve the situation.
