Description Giuseppe Vinci 2014-12-14 13:48:37 UTC
When you change a single date of a recourring event to a simple (not recurring) event and copy and paste it to another day, you can see this new pasted event only in event list view. While the agenda und monthly views don't show it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Choose a recourring event and change the begin time for one of their single recurs. So you get a new simple agenda event (but with some special features: see below in Additional Information). I call it here "EVENT B"
2. Now copy th EVENT B and paste it to another day. You get an another event (EVENT C)
3. Then you will see it (EVENT B) in the event list view for this another day, but not in the agenda view.

Actual Results:
I can see the EVENT C in the event list view for this another day, but not in the agenda view.
I do not get any reminder, although I set one.

Expected Results:
I expect, to see the new event (EVENT C) in the event list as well in the agenda and months views.
AND I expect, the remineder runs, if set.

The Recurrence tab sheet of the created new events (EVENT B and EVENT C) become unusual:
a) the tab name changes in '"Recurrance (E)"
b) You can not set any recurrance. You get only this selectable option: This and future occurance. But if you choos it, it seems, it causes no consequence.

I could add some snapshots, to better explaining, but I don't know where and how.

This bug still happens now under KDE 4.14.10 (openSUSE).

Please tell me, which infos do you need to process this bug.
Comment 5 Denis Kurz 2017-06-23 20:21:48 UTC
This bug has never been confirmed for a Kontact version that is based on KDE Frameworks, except possibly a Technology Preview version 5.0.x. Those versions differ significantly from the old 4.x series. Therefore, I plan to close it in around two or three months. In the meantime, it is set to WAITINGFORINFO to give reporters the opportunity to check if it is still valid. As soon as someone confirms it for a recent version (at least 5.1, ideally even more recent), I'll gladly reopen it.

Please understand that we lack the manpower to triage bugs reported for versions almost two years beyond their end of life.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.1 aka 15.12; preferably much more recent), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
