Description mgolden 2014-12-13 16:54:35 UTC
Copy-paste seems to forget the cut buffer if the application being cut from is closed.

I am running Kubuntu 14.10 plasma 5 test ISO. I have a System 2011 vintage System 76 with a nvidia M560 graphics card, and the proprietary driver.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open an application, for example firefox. Go to a page, select some text and hit ^C
2. Open kate (or anything else) and hit ^V. The copied text will paste in.
3. Close firefox.
4. Go back to kate and hit ^V. Nothing will paste.

Note that the original selected text will show in Klipper and can be selected if you first select one of the other choices.

I am not sure if this is bug originates from Plasma 5 components / klipper but yes I can reproduce this

Thanks for your quick attention. I wasn't sure where to file this, so I put it in plasmashell. My guess is that it is actually not klipper because klipper actually seems to set the text properly when you change your choice.
