Comment by a GCI student: Also note that you may have to download additional languages if no other languages are found on your system. You can get more languages in the 'Get New Stuff' dialog.

Gabriela, even if no languages are installed, it should allow "American English" as the fallback-language. Please try if deleting ~/.kde/share/config/klettresrc before starting klettres helps. Otherwise, could you please ask in a forum of your distribution how to install language packages for KDE applications? Some distributions have per-application packages, while others have per-language packages.
