Description apache 2014-12-08 17:35:44 UTC
I have two sound cards and I switch between them according to my preference. Default is on-board Intel and for music I use USB DAC.
I use keyboard short-cut for associated to kmix to control volume level assigned to Master channel. But it can be used only for one playback device that is currently chosen in kmix options.

When I want switch to different sound card I need to change assignment of Master to that sound card. It would be great if kmix could automatically assign Master to current playback device.

If possible to solve it with script please help
https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=123962
but an biuld-in option would be appreciated.

Reproducible: Always

Still relevant. Also would like to switch device and have that device master volume.
