Description skaumo 2014-12-05 11:26:56 UTC
I replaced kcm_touchpad with kcm-touchpad but I`ve always had issues with touch pressure since.

Initially the problem was that I had to push the touchpad very hard for a tap to be detected as such. Effectively I was unable to tap-and-drag, for example.
Chaging the sensitivity settings did not solve this, as those seemed to be just ignored.

I kept messing with the settings, but things got worse and I`m now completely unable to perform any action that depends on tapping.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Change sensitivity settings
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Sensitivity settings are ignored

Expected Results:
Pressure detection to work normally, and have sensitive default values that "just work", as the old kcm_touchpad did.

Is this still an issue. I checked via kcmshell5 --list and I do not see kcm-touchpad, only kcm_touchpad.

Also, there are no sensitivity settings in kcm_touchpad.

Hello! This bug report concerns the Synaptics version of the Touchpad page, which is no longer supported in Plasma 6. Can you please see if the issue still happens when using Libinput? If so, please change the status back to "REPORTED." If not, go ahead and change it to "RESOLVED FIXED", or let the bot do it automatically after a month. Thanks!
