When I was using Ubuntu GNOME or normal Ubuntu(Unity), I was able to search for software like vlc, keepass. But now, when I enter the keyword in the search box, no search results are displayed. I have a working internet connection(Mobile Broadband). I have tried only the above packages so I have mentioned only these two names. I am unable to install keepass which means I can't log into most of my accounts. It's a big problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start the software center 2. Type a search keyword (like keepass) 3. No search results Actual Results: A blank page with no search results. Expected Results: Page showing available package details.
according to debian developers there is no muon in debian so what kind of platform are you really on? also, please paste the output of the command dpkg -s apt-xapian-index
Same here with kubuntu 14.10. Searching only provides qml plasma applets.
