Description DrSlony 2014-11-29 15:38:28 UTC
Strangely enough, Yakuake has no keyboard shortcut for "Find", nor "Next" or "Previous". One must reach for the mouse and right-click and select "Find" to search for text in the console.

Please add support for Ctrl+Shift+f to find text in the console as is standard in Konsole, and then F3 to find next and Shift+F3 to find previous.

Reproducible: Always

That's because the find functionality is part of the Konsole KPart component rather than Yakuake, and there's both no way to invoke it on the KPart from outside of it, or to get the KPart's Find action into Yakuake's action collection because of how it advertises its actions.

Then could you hard-code Ctrl+Shift+f to invoke find?

I'd also love to see this implemented.

Eike I may have misunderstood your reply.

"no way to invoke it on the KPart from outside of it"
Should I open a feature request for this with the KPart (or other?) people?

This has been possible for a while.
