Description Sylvain 2014-11-21 08:41:27 UTC
When chosing for a widget to use, widgets used on other activities have a "check" mark ("v"). This is confusing. The widget explorer should be aware of which widgets are used on the current activities.
Comment 1 Elias Probst 2015-02-15 20:11:22 UTC
This needs to be distinguished by:
- is the widget present on a panel (used in all activities, no need to filter)
- is the widget only present on non-panel containments (needs to be filtered by activity)

I agree that it is a usability problem if there is a checkbox even if a widget is only on the desktop of a different Activity.

If implementing the proposed solution is technically difficult, I'd vote for simply removing the checkmark feature. Its usefulness isn't so big as to warrant jumping through hoops to make it work correctly, and I'd rather see it removed than showing unuseful information.

[Widget Explorer] Take into account the activity a widget is on

Only consider an applet running if it's on the current activity.
