Description Germano Massullo 2014-11-12 14:41:57 UTC
Entering into System Settings->Power management
you will get an error message about power management service not running.
I checked the status of power management service inside System Settings->Background serices and it is running.
System: Fedora 21 with Dvratil's repository ( https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/dvratil/plasma-5/ ) running in a VirtualBox virtual machine

Reproducible: Always

I can confirm this bug. F21, Plasma 5.1.2
Comment 4 Andrius Štikonas 2015-01-14 16:13:17 UTC
Still happens with Plasma 5.1.95 on Gentoo
Comment 5 Hrvoje Senjan 2015-01-14 16:39:10 UTC
this one is probably fixed with commit ee9e92ff4e555252742326124cd7a5d3b574a27c in kauth.
check the path in /usr/share/dbus-1/system-services/org.kde.powerdevil.backlighthelper.service

Here the path seems to be ok and pointing to /usr/lib64/libexec/kauth/backlighthelper. Maybe something else is broken...
Comment 7 Germano Massullo 2015-04-12 07:41:57 UTC
The bug has been fixed (KDE 5.8.0)
