I just upgraded from SuSE 12.2 to 13.1 and got kbounce-4.11.5-124.15.x86_64 with it. Every release makes the game significantly harder, now the walls are drawn at a snail's pace (and I'm using the Easy level). I play games for enjoyment, not to overcome the next huge challenge thrown at me. I understand that some may like that but please make the game customizable so that those who liked the way the game was a version (or a few, in this case I was on 4.8.4-2.1.2.x86_64) back can still enjoy playing it. My initial thought here is to allow setting the various parameters in a "kbounce.cfg" file, such things as wall drawing speed, ball bounce speed, etc. What would really be nice if there were options that would load settings of previous versions. Either that or make it where the old version can still be usable. Thanks for the consideration. Reproducible: Always
I'm not a kbounce developer, only a user. I like playing the game. I played it from at least KDE3, maybe KDE2 I dont remember until recent 5.6/16.04 KF5 I don't see how the game became harder? maybe you're right the walls are builder slower. maybe this happened when they switch to SVG making it those speed configurable is not a bad idea. maybe that's what this issue should be called. "make wall speed and ball bouncing speed configurable"
