When I attempt to use KRunner as a currency converter it gives incorrect rates. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open KRunner 2. Enter a currency conversion, e.g. "1 USD in GBP" Actual Results: 0.598369 pounds sterling (GBP) Expected Results: Actual conversion rate should be 0.628956 GBP (according to xe.com). All the currency pairs I've tried give incorrect results. This is a significant discrepancy and shouldn't be due to different data sources.
Deleting .kde/share/apps/libkunitconversion/currency.xml fixes the issue for now but I'm not sure why it wasn't fetching the latest data when the old data was nearly 5 months old. I think there's still a bug somewhere.
Confirmed. This is actually a bug in kunitconversion.

According to the documentation, the data is extracted from https://www.ecb.europa.eu/stats/exchange/eurofxref/html/index.en.html, but the values are simply rubbish. Duplicate bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345750
I confirm this bug with plasma 5.2.2, on Archlinux.
