Kubuntu 14.10 Network manager package version: 0.9.8.8-0ubuntu28 Network manager does not connect to the network automatically even when the option "Automatically connect to this network when available" is checked for that network. This started happening only after updating from Kubuntu 14.04 to 14.10. There is only one wired network that is being used in the system where this issue occurs and there is no password needed for connecting to this network. After trying a workaround given in another related bug report (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339674) the connection to the network is established automatically. Before trying the workaround I had tested with guest logins and with other user account on my kubuntu install and the problem exists in all the user accounts. Tried enabling and disabling kwallet system, created a new wallet, it has no effect on the issue. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Login to the kde desktop system 2. Check the network manager widget to see the network not connected automatically Actual Results: Network does not get connected automatically at desktop login even when the option to do the same is selected for that network Expected Results: Network manager should connect to the network automatically at desktop login when the option to connect automatically is selected.
